Husk Restaurant. Voted Best Restaurant in America of 2011 by Bon Appetite. The exterior has that old fashioned feel but when you walk in it’s got that modernist touch. Definite date location. Yay for southern food!

A lot of one-of-a-kind houses are built in the Lithuanian countryside; this is one of my new favorites.
Whoever the photographer was, props for that last shot. To capture those angles with the shadows to show the striking nature of the minimalist interior is thinking outside the box.
The obvious contrast of modernism in a surrounding such as that is a statement in itself; it strikes out in an almost poetic sense.
The presence of wood in the overall design presents an organic nature to an otherwise modernistic design. The living area has the best of both worlds in that the wood floor cuts off to a built in planter; while on the opposite end, there is a well-meshed patio that complements the interior.
